Ladies, there are many life lessons that we will all have to go through, or if we are quick to heed the life lessons of others we can avoid all together.
Jack was a guy who had no problems getting a girls attention. He was smart, witty, funny, body of a boxer (which he did box actually), and from the stories his friends would say knew how to please a lady. Now back in my younger days this kind of combo was something I could most definitely not pass up (because let’s be honest, it’s hard to find a man when you’re in your early to mid twenties who actually knows how to please a woman. It’s usually all about them).
Like any girl, I made my way into his line of sight and through parties, and personal time spent I had him hooked. He was really sweet, and romantic and so I thought that there might actually be something there. I mean, the make-out sessions where great so I thought we can’t go wrong else where…
Finally, one night I settled the debate in my head that this was going to be the night I would find out what this stallion was made of. He had invited me to his place to watch basketball (yeah, I don’t really watch basketball and I think he knew that). I came over we talked, sat on the comfy leather couch and proceeded to watch basketball, who knows who was playing. I was getting bored, and he for some reason was very nervous, his nervousness was palpable. He slowly went to place his hand on my thigh and then kept it there. Several more minutes passed and well, I had had about enough.
I did what any girl would do (okay, okay, I know that’s not what the typical girl would do, but hey, I like to be a game changer and sometimes I also like to make a guy super nervous because it makes me laugh). I got up and and took my pants off, straddled him and placed his hands on my thighs. Now, I wasn’t prepared for what came next. Usually I get men who are excited and ready (hopefully) to take the big hint to take charge. Jack was breathless, he didn’t know what to do. He kept mumbling, and well that’s all…
I noticed that he was really shy and nervous (his hands clammy and no eye contact). I decided that we should call it a night. Now, this happened multiple times; his bed room, the car, and nothing. It was like he wanted me but couldn’t get passed third base, and there was always the excuse that he didn’t have the rubber. So I finally I had to lay my assumptions that this really wasn’t a ladies man, but a guy who liked to just talk big. One night I brought the goods, and when he turned his line again of not having one a pulled it out. He was speechless. He gave me a whole spiel on how he couldn’t go all the way. I told him that it was okay. It really was, I was just hopping that he would have been honest the entire time than leading me think other wise. He was very good at everything else, so I kept seeing him for a while more. But at the end of the day I moved on. It was a tease, I kinda feel like a man saying it, but he was just one big tease.
Lesson learned: Men who talk a big game are probably not the men they portray in their stories.
